Don't get me wrong, I'm sure it's great for those with ample space. This however does not work well in a compact desk and Sadly I have to return.Pros: very strong, no problems supporting my nearly 20lbs monitor, monitor can be tilted or rotated in about any direction.Cons: waste massive amounts of space. From the wall to the back plate of the monitor is more than 6". The problem is the supporting post conflicts with the arm and keeps it from sitting back further. (See picture) This could be fixed by either raising the height of the arm to the very top of the post (monitor will sit very high) or maybe cutting the post (something I'm not willing to do).Even if the post is the not in the way, the monitor would still protrude significantly from the wall, or edge of desk. This is clearly for people with gigantic desk/ tables to mount it on.Also, this was a major pain to set up. There are 4 separate sized wrenches to adjust the different screws. It's also heavy and the arms don't flex easily without the monitor. I got this to avoid damaging the wall, but it's so unwieldy, that I accidentally scratched the wall anyway.Note that the arm can flex straight, but that wasn't workable for my small desk. Mounting the arm on one end and the monitor can only sat over the opposite end with the post almost diagonal from the strain of the weight. Finally, the advert says "polished aluminum" but most of this stand is actually painted with a large part of the arm covered in a cheap painted plastic cover.
