First thing I'd like to note is the free shipping.Getting this desk to my house would have originally cost me $85 in shipping charges, but thanks to Amazon's "super saver" deal on shipping, not only did this thing arrive on my doorstep very early (ordered it Sunday (8/30), it arrived Thursday (9/3). The delivery date on the box even read Sept. 9th), the item had free shipping and the delivery service was fantastic. The truck driver was able to call and give us a heads up to be there whenever he was on his way. Even helped bring it upstairs, too (and this thing is every bit as heavy as the 135 pounds it says it is)!Now to move on to the desk itself.This is honestly the nicest shell desk I've seen for the price. Nothing about it reflects careless manufacturing or poor design. The desk comes with 100% assembly required (you'll want another person to help you put it together), but the instructions are easy to understand and the entire thing can be put together in less than half an hour. You get a complete set of hardware in the box, including all the screws, dowels and braces to finish the project. Hardware also includes "feet" if you plan on putting this on hardwood floors, but are not needed if you place it on carpet. You'll need your own screw drivers and hammers to work with, but I think that's an understood fact. The mahagony finish is wonderful, but because it's not true heavy wood that requires conditioning, I wouldn't recommend using an oil-based cleaner on it as it does streak. Use a nice multi-surface cleaner to wipe off the dust and you're good to go.Great desk, great size, great buy. Very happy with it.
