Globe Electric 52899 18-Inch Adjustable Desk Lamp with 1-Light, Pratt Style in Black - Perfect for Home Office, Study, Reading & Workspace Lighting

Needed a lamp with two bulbs that could be controlled independently without breaking the bank. This looked good and was one of few in this price range. Packed well but still had minor scratches here and there, including a somewhat sharp protrusion on one knob that I sanded down. Base was sturdy. For the price didn’t bother sending it back.Modern take on piano lamp. Brass is easy to clean. Looks great!This is a nice double light desk lamp with a sturdy base. I don’t like that the inside of shade is white, would have preferred brass-look. Decent value for the money though.In short, specifically for the Matte Black variant, the lamp has really poor quality. The black paint job is incredibly sloppy and makes the $30 dollar lamp look like a $10 attempt at making a lamp.I bought the lamp for the aesthetics, form factor, adjustability and the option to use my own E26 bulb (I'm using a KASA LED Smart Bulb-- KL125P2). The exterior of the lamp is a matte black finish (albeit a poor one), the interior of the lamp head is reflective white paint (which is good since white scatters light evenly). The switch is a rotary cord switch (ratchet wheel). The back of the lamp head has some cut outs for ventilation (which does leak light out), I have not experienced heat issues, however note I am using an LED bulb.Although it is a bit nitpicky to complain about the paint, at $30 I was able to buy a O'Bright Floor Lamp that stands 70'' tall with a high quality Matte Black Paint job and doesn't have any paint defects like this lamp does.Other notes:- Tilt adjustability cannot go past perpendicular from the floor but I've found this to be a non issue (if you need that, this type of lamp isn't what you're looking for--table lamps typically don't point upwards).- The tri-legs are not adjustable which could be limiting if you have an uneven surface.- Lamp feels a bit short, the length excluding the lamp head and the tri-leg base is approximately 1 foot (12 inches) at maximum height. The full 18 inch measurement is including the top of the lamp head to the lowest point of one of the lamp legs.- Lamp head (the cylinder) is about 4 inches in diameter, and near 6 inches long.was able to get this item for half the listing price. i bought it used. i assume it was returned, because a sticker that was put on the leg (which was hard to remove) , but i was able to remove the stick with rubbing alcohol, and it didnt damage the coloring of the lamp. i will warn others, this item isnt fit for kids. because of the design, it can tip over easily. Poor design on the legs.(1) The lamp has minor scratches here and there; (2) the cap on the top of the center pole is chrome (why?); (3) stickers indicating the direction the knobs turn (not shown in the online photo) left residue, which was difficult to get off; (4) the cord does not come out from the base where the online photo indicates, so the lamp must be placed against a wall with the higher light on the left...unless you don't mind seeing the cord coming out from and wrapping around the base. It's also more a spotlight than a lamp, which I'd figured given the design. But I'm keeping it because I like the design and it's in a room that's rarely used at night.This lamp is beautiful and perfect for my guest room.Got this for my handicapped mother. Love that the light switched is on the wire so she can reach. Light is good too. Attached it to table but a few days after installing mom somehow hit it and sent it flying. Luckly it didn't hit her. Have ordered a bigger light with flexiable extension. There are multiple different finishes, some subtle some not so subtle. The end of the legs are shiny brassy gold, the post the is closest to the light is one shade while the lower part of that post is another, there are also some dark spots on the Joni of those from the manufacturing process. I might not mind that if there was more of that patina but the one location just looks like a mistake. I HATE the shiny ends of the feet. It does give good light but I was concerned about a safety as the cover on the wires inside the lamp was frayed. As a personal preference I would have preferred the can be a little longer to the end of the bulb didn’t stick out. I returned this as all the little issues bugged me for the price.There's a sticker on the base of the light, visible from every angle, and it's impossible to get off without scratching the paint. I want to love this light, I want to order more of this light, I want to get my friends to order this light... But why is there a long sticker, roughly 8cm by 2cm and bright white on the base? I got this to fit the aesthetic of the room, and that sticker has made it impossible to not look like an eye-sore. A real shame, because it was perfect otherwise!El diseño de la lámpara es muy bonito y de buena calidad, la lámpara es totalmente de metal con acabado dorado que le da un toque único. Considero que por el diseño el precio es bueno, después de 7 meses de uso no he tenido problema alguno, el único inconveniente que le veo es que el interruptor queda abajo de cualquier mesa que lo pongas, yo lo solucioné utilizando un foco inteligente controlado por Alexa.El diseño y tamaño son buenos, lamentablemente la mía está defectuosa, no enciende correctamente, se apaga; además usa focos muy caros.
