I bought one of these for my husband years ago from a catalog on an airplane. He loved it, but it just got so worn out from using i every day for over 10 years. I bought this one for Christmas and he was like a little kid. There are so many new features on it that just blew him away. Especially the ability to plug in his computer and the mobility of the lap topThis is built tough and does everything it is supposed to. I feel like it is a little pricey but I pulled the trigger anyway because I feel like I live in my truck. It fits fine in my Ranger but with more room in the front tward the dash the seatbelt is a must. The power inverter works as it should and can power my laptop, a printer and charge my phone. The plug ins and power button being on the back side keeps them out of the way but also makes them impossible to access while in the truck. One thing I didn't expect is the storage area under the desk is not easy to get to because of my arm rest. I could rotate it up and out of the way but then everything in it gets jostled around. The strap for your laptop isn't the best solution as you can only get it so tight and may interfere with plugs on your computer. It holds it in place but can slide out. Moving the laptop and rotating it for use works well but you must tighten the bolt under the desk which is hard to get to. Another thing I didn't think of is when I pick up my daughter from school I have to remove the desk so she has somewhere to sit. Overall it was expensive and has some flaws but I am glad I ordered it. I would like to see some attachments like a printer stand or phone stand. The options on Amazon aren't clear how they work with this desk.I've had my desk for about two years and its served me very well. I visit home care pts. so I'm in my car all day with a lot of charting between visits. It holds all my bits and pieces, pens etc as well as the helpful writing tray.My main complaints are the tray, which works great most of the time, but tends to slip off track at times. A wider track ledge would solve that issue. My main complaint is the slide proof mat. Its always held well no matter what I have placed on it, however the glue that holds it down, bubbles up in the heat of the sun in warm weather. Weird. I have all those pockets of oozy glue that raises in the heat. Thankfully its never oozed out from the sides but annoying to be always expecting it to so.Living in Florida heat this is a problem in the summers. Winters. with normally mid temps, it's ok. I did get the silver sun shields for the front wind shield which helped. And parking the car where the sun is in the back of car helps but of course that's not always possible.Having said all that, I couldn't get along without it. I'm not sorry I bought it. I love it.Perhaps the company can find a better glue for the mat that tolerates heat better, and make the writing tray ledge a tad wider for future designs. .Overall it works fine. My car is my office when not at home. I wanted something to make working from my car easier. In some ways this has but in other ways it's a met down. Two huge complaints however. First and biggest is the slide out writing pad slides out every time you turn to the right often smashimg into my phone holder or drink. They definitely should have made something to lock it in place! Second complaint, the fit and finish is poor at best. The non-slip pad doesn't seat well in it's dedicated area and the plastic on the bottom has numerous jagged places requiring a towel underneath it to keep it from damaging the seat. On a positive note it gives you somewhere to sit a laptop though it's still a reach. It does a great job of holding files and gives you a spot to hide a laptop if you want to leave it in the car. The power inverter the best feature but a converter alone is way cheaper. Perhaps their more expensive models would work better but I expected more for the money.Bought for my son for Xmas. He’s an insurance adjuster and works from his car. He said it is keeping him organized and made a professional appearance. His only negative comment was that it covers his shifter and he has to reach under the tray to put in gear.I’ve been a long time road warrior working from car trying to balance my computer anyway I could and always wanted one of these but finally broke down and got it and I love it! The thickness of the material and the value for the money yes exactly what I needed. Customer service is amazing too. Straps very tight to the seat so it does not move like I was worried it would. Very stable and sturdy and does not jiggle or rattle. The bottom angles perfectly to a seat to make the top virtually level in the left side goes across the right amount to be able to work without bothering the gearshift.Very pleased with my purchase. It will save me a ton of time and frustration.Product arrived undamaged. It is just what I needed, made out of hard plastic similar to a plastic truck bed tool box. I use it in a van that has captain chairs and no center console. On the the passenger seat it is on a slight angle, but with the bottom slide out table it works very well for useing a tablet in my case. The inverter, outlets, and USB are located on the right side of the unit. The seat belt restraint system works great for securing to and on the seat. The grip pad is wonderful for securing items such as a cell phone or even a ear piece. Storage under the table holds a hp portable printer and a 12.9 iPad Pro in a case when not in use with plenty of room for more items. The file storage is deep and has plenty of room for paperwork or in my case hats, gloves, drinks, etc.... there is additional space for a small stapler, pencils, pens and other office related items.I hope my review has answered some of other people's questions and concerns regarding this product. It is a expensive item to purchase, but in my option and circumstances was worth the money. It does make life on road easier when traveling.I purchased this desk to use in my company vehicle. Works as intended and helps out quite a bit.The only two issues I have run into is that the laptop desk part had a chunk broken off during shipping and the round felt padding on the "reach desk" arm is starting to wear off and leaving black smudges on the desk itself along the desk track.Fait bien son travail mais je crois que 150$ aurais été beaucoup mieux vu la qualité de la finitionI am happy with the desk, it works great for me. I can meet with a client collect the information and go back to the car. Send the proposal and move on to the next opportunity. Before this desk I would have to go back to the office to process everything sometimes forget stuff and it wasted a lot of time. I would recommend it to anyone that goes out on the road on a regular basis.Very happy with the use of my Reach desk, perfect for setting up and removing on the fly with my busy schedule.Works great, use it everyday. The built in inverter is an added bonus too. Not something you want to take in to out of a vehicle all the time but can be done when necessaryFits and works great, only improvement would be legal size folder spot.
