5 stars for the assembled desk and packaging for shipping. 3 stars for ease of assembly.The desk is perfect for my multiple device needs (work Surface, gaming laptop, console, and monitor). The frame is made of sturdy steel. The desk top is very solid compressed wood with a very nicely finished veneer. I love the finished product. I read some reviews that had issues with wobbling. I have not experienced that. I also read some reviews that complained about the desktop surface scratching easily. I have not experienced that either, even after moving my 32" monitor around on it.I went into this knowing that I should not tighten any of the screws until everything is in place; and I did that. However, getting the center piece (rounded corner square) to sit correctly was a challenge. The anchors in the bottom of the desk top (where the screws go) are made of plastic which has been inserted into the drilled holes. Due to all the movement when screws were still loose, the screws pulled the plastic anchors out of 3 of the holes. Luckily, the anchors are simply barbed and not threaded. I assume that the factory did not make sure they were secure. I used a rubber mallet to put them back in place. Afterwards, I placed a 50 lb weight on the corner piece to hold it against the frame while I secured the screws from below. That worked perfectly. Also, the blue protective plastic on the metal casters was very hard to remove. It had way too much adhesive on it. After spending a considerable amount of time peeling all the plastic off, I had to use soap and water to remove the adhesive residue from the metal casters. Total assembly time including shipping cleanup: about 3 hours.
