A bit disappointed. The side drawers are soft material with a thin wood look front. I would have never thought a desk would come with soft drawers. Had i known this I would not have bought this but it will do. Missing the 2 knobs for those soft drawers but the seller is replacing them.I wish the 2 drawers that are not wood I wish they were! But it's doable.Desk top had some chips on it, but pretty easy to assemble and looks like the pictures.It didn't really show clearly that it had cloth drawers.I like the desk - it’s solid and well crafted. Even better was their customer service- I was missing one small part and they took care of it immediately.The desk looks nice, but there were a couple of surprises I wasn't expecting.Out of the 3 drawers, 2 of them are made of cloth. You know those fabric collapsible storage cubes you can get at your local big box store? They came folded flat like those, so you pop them into shape and push a flat, stiff piece of cardboard-like material into place to be the "bottom" of the drawer. For some reason, the left and right drawers were like this, but the center drawer was a normal drawer on a track. I wonder why they weren't all the same? Maybe this was written in the description and I just didn't see it? But I thought I'd mention it for others just in case. It doesn't look bad, but those particular drawers can't support much weight.The desk was well packaged, but one of the smaller pieces of "wood" did come with a dent in it. It wasn't bad enough for me to set the desk aside and ask for a replacement.The assembly took my 17 hear old son and me about an hour. It wasnt terribly difficult, but the instructions could be more clear. They need to hire a Lego instruction manual writer to help them out. Most of the holes for the screws weren't drilled all the way or threaded, so you had to force the screw in and hope you weren't going crooked or splintering the particle board.As I said, the desk looks nice. It's comfortable and I'm pretty happy with it. Not sure that I'd buy it again, though.Just needed a simple, low profile desk. Very easy to put together...holes, etc. We'll frilled, lined up etc. Very simple instructions. Sturdy. Happy with the price.Good value for the price. Here are the Pros and Cons:Pros: arrived earlier than expected; once assembled the desk feels very solid and looks nice; the color is nicer than expected (dark brown) and blends very well with our furnishings; came with a well laid out manual plus extra hardware; perfect size for my needs and accommodates my laptop and separate keyboard with room left for a coffee cup, notebook, etc.Cons: the middle drawer does not fit flush with the front of the desk which bothers me a bit but it's not a deal breaker; there are some minor scratches on the desk top and front drawers; there are a few assembly errors in the manual (see photos).Important: This desk will NOT work for tall adults - I'm only 5 ft and my knees just fit under the desk. Good for short adults and children. I think the desk will scratch easily over time so I recommend a desk mat to protect it. FYI, the two side drawers are made from some type of heavy duty nylon fabric and the fronts are glued on fiberboard. Probably not for heavy items but perfectly doable for pens, rulers, a notebook, iPad etc.All in all I think this is great value for the money and as a short adult will work well for my purposes.
