We recently purchased this item and were excited to put it together for use. After 2+ hours of assembly it was done. A couple of days later we noticed that one of the hydraulics that lift the top had leaked fluid and permanently stained the white finish. We contacted the manufacturer and they offered to replace the damaged parts. Replacing the hydraulic was clearly necessary but replacing the stained bottom shelf was cosmetic not mechanical. We asked for a product discount to keep the stained bottom shelf as replacing it would effect steps 2-14 in the 2 hour disassembly & rebuild process. They told me that I would have to contact Cymax to receive a partial refund. After explaining the situation to Cymax their response was to offer a $17.50 refund or return the item. Bottom line, we were sold a a $175 defective product which now we’re being offered $17 to remedy with the ultimatum to spend 2 more hours to disassemble pack up and return.
