I got this desk in order to start my new Work From Home job. I've never had a work from home job, nor a job that requires me being at a desk for longer than 10 minutes at a time, so I really wasn't too sure what to get. I knew I wanted an L shaped desk. I also knew I didn't want to spend a lot of money, because my job is intending for me to go back into the office once things with COVID are more under control.I liked the look of this desk, but there are A LOT of mixed reviews on it. This was $100 when I purchased it, so I took a chance on it.It came in a perfectly intact and appropriate packaging. It IS heavy though, and awkward. I drug it into my entryway and then opened it there and took each piece individually into my office space, where I laid it out according to how it would go together. The instructions were easy to follow. Take your time with it, don't overtighten your screws, and you'll be fine. It took me probably a little over an hour to assemble it in full. It was a little challenging to flip it upright once it was all built, but I was able to do it on my own.I got my equipment from my company today and I was not expecting my monitors to be so large... That being said, I am able to make it work, I just don't have as much free room as I had hoped for, but that's my own fault. This IS a smaller desk compared to some, but still has enough room for me to fit two laptops, two 24 inch monitors, a lamp, various desk organizers, and have room for my Cisco phone that is set to arrive soon as well. There is AMPLE room underneath for your legs or even if you wanted to put a few baskets or storage bins below. There's plenty of room for my lab to lay underneath it while I'm working, so she approves of it.
