You literally will not find another studio desk with these features at this good of a price. Plus, I got $150 off by signing up for the Amazon Chase Visa card. This thing is built like a tank and, for my purposes, I will never need another studio desk for home recording, composing, or voiceover work as long as I live. This thing ain't modest and it ain't no wimp! Underneath the desk I have a 2x12 Mesa Boogie combo and some rack gear and I could probably store a stack of 45 lb plates without worrying about damaging it.The instructions are simple enough to follow, however they did not mention there is a difference in the main supports; two are designed to attach a crossbar. I found that out the hard way.I assembled this desk yesterday and it has exceeded my expectations.1) Assembly was easy with a helper. My stepson and I took our time, and it took about 1 1/2 hours.2) Other desks of similar sizes and features are WAY more expensive than this.3) Desk feels incredibly solid, and the finish is like a hard shell which should stand up to a lot of useage.4) Looks great!5) Legroom is reduced compared to my old desk. However, I got used to the lower chair height within an hour.So I read the reviews before purchasing and a lot of people said the keyboard tray was too low, they banged their legs, etc etc. This is true. It's all true. But I knew beforehand so it wasn't like "Oh my, this is too low!" I knew it and I wish it was not that low and so on and blah blah blah.My ten year old basically put the thing together so I don't want to hear adults talk about difficulty. He's ten. Don't make me shame you. The two main pieces are heavy, like black hole so dense even light cannot escape heavy, so I helped him with lifting. But that was it.It's a big old mama. I had a very compact desk before, so sitting at this is like sitting at a window, gazing out at the vast meadowlands of rural South Dakota, only no worries about being gored or trampled by a bison, which is nice. You ever been up close with a bison? They're big. Anyway, the desk is big, too, and I have room for all the junk that shouldn't be on a recording desk in the first place. It seems sturdy enough. I'm not climbing up and standing on it or anything and if you are, well, you deserve whatever happens to you. But it holds my two computer monitors, my KRKs, some notebooks, a naked photo of my GF from high school, lots of guitar debris, martinis, etc.All in all, very pleased with this desk. Yeah, I know, the keyboard tray height, but I'm not going to join a bunch of whiners. I'm a manly man! I don't care if I bump my knees! I'm living on the edge!Overall it’s a pretty good desk. However, mine arrived damaged. I contacted support about it arriving damaged and I never heard anything back.I was surprised by the stability of the rolling keyboard shelf under the main desk. MPK261 fits well underneath and holds up to moderate playing on the pads for sampling/looping. Plenty of space on top for mixer, computer keyboard and microkorg with a little leftover for pedals. Rackmounts under top shelves are perfect for a guy with too many rackmount effects.Sadly a piece came broken and reaching out to manufacturer did not produce a response. Overall a nice desk. The Build Quality is perfect item is just as Described Love it
