it doesn't work as well as the one I lost. you have to hold it very straight to cut the whole length of the envelope and it seems to always snag and tear right at the end.Its very sharp and does what its supposed to do, however, the tail end is a little flimsy.This is a nice tool to have. It opens envelopes easily. The only problem I had is that the point is a bit long and I had to finish the opening by reinserting the tool from the opposite direction to complete the opening. Guess I could just insert my finger and tear the remainder of the flap. It is made of plastic so I am hoping it will last and not break off.easy to use and good valueSharp.
