I hate to not give this 5 stars because it's a very helpful book and a book can't help but be the product of the time it was written. It's a very helpful resource in terms of general knowledge and ideas for cabinet building. The illustrations are pretty clear, though older in style and it's broken down well. However, it's quite dated in terms of techniques, tools and even hardware for building furniture pieces. I'm glad I have it on my shelf but I recommend using other resources as well.
